Bird Photography Weekly #17

Common Moorhen - Gallinula chloropus

I am posting another photo this week from when I was in Florida last January, when I was so much drier and warmer that I am now. (We got almost 24" of snow in the last few days and the temps are remaining well below freezing) Just looking at that bright moorhen with a bit of vegetation in it's bill warms me a bit.

Very nice photo - and here's hoping you don't get too much more snow!

We are in the same weather boat here in Wisconsin. Glad to have warm birding memories to get me through this cold snap! Love your bird ornaments too. I've just started collecting.

I like the subtle color variations and waves in the water that your bird is in. Florida is beginning to entice me to visit too with its warm weather and great birding opportunites.

Seasons Greetings from WA State.

Fantastic photo! One of these days I've got to get a new camera nd take some photography lessons. I wouldn't mind being in a warmer place right now.
