Hi Christopher, I saw your comment on the BPW page that the Roseate Spoonbill is your spark bird. I'm always kind of jealous to read spark bird stories. Arthur and I slowly got into birding together over the last few years but we can't really pinpoint our becoming birders to one particular bird. I'm starting to think that our big spark was the abundance of bird hides in the Netherlands. Great shots of a beautiful bird! It wasn't our spark but the similar Eurasian Spoonbill is certainly one of our favorites.
Beautiful shots, Christopher! I get to see spoonbills from time to time around here, but rarely so close or during breeding season when they have this much color. Wonderful BPW post!

What an amazing bird - I can see how it was your "spark" to devoted birdwatching. Beautiful photos.
