

For today's photo-a-day, I'm going back a little bit to mid-April when we went to Plum Island in search of late winter birds and early migrants. I'm not sure why I never posted these pics - other than I think I was a bit disappointed that these were the best pics I got after spending more than an hour and probably a few hundred shots. It was nevertheless a wonderful experience with more than a dozen of these frenetic little birds gleaning food in a tree just above our heads.

Awe...I love that head on shot!
The Golden-crowned Kinglet is one of my favorite birds of all time. So friendly and tame. Love the last one where it is staring at you.
