Bird Photography Weekly #130

"Roseate Spoonbill - Platalea ajaja

Been a few weeks since I posted anything, but I have good reason - we took a mid-winter break from the New England winter and spent a week birding and photographing in Florida. I've got plenty of photos to share, but I think I will start with a set of one of my favorite birds from Florida, the beautiful Roseate Spoonbill. These beauties were all photographed at Ding Darling NWR on Sanibel Island.

I can't wait to see all your Florida photos Christopher. The Roseate Spoonbill is gorgeous. I really like the first side view shot. I think it shows off the colors the best.

Nice series Chris. Interesting to see they also have some yellow colouring. The 3rd photo is my favourite.
