Wow- those are some amazing pictures of the Mergansers. I have the hardest time capturing them- their white crests always throw off the automatic settings on my camera. I need to spend some time with my camera's manual to learn how to set the shutter speed, etc. Any tips?

Great photos of all those water birds. Very frustrating when the wind blows too strongly to see birds well. It was that way out here in SE Queensland, Australia all last week.
